The Thaumaturge is a role-playing game set in an alternative version of Warsaw from the early 20th century. The production was created by the Polish studio Fool’s Theory, which previously collaborated with the Belgian company Larian Studios on such works as Divinity: Original Sin II or Baldurs Gate 3, and also independently designed The Game Seven: The Days Long Gone.

The Thaumaturge PC Download takes us on a journey to Warsaw from 1905. It is a multicultural metropolis, where under the noses of the higher spheres organizing sumptuous balls, there are clashes of criminals in the dark streets. The city, located in the zone of influence of the Russian Tsar, is a real Crucible, inhabited, among other things, by Polish burghers, Jewish merchants and Russian soldiers.

Warsaw is also the site of the titular activities of thaumaturgists – people with supernatural abilities who can see and use esoteric beings called Salutators. One of these thaumaturgists is the main character of the described production, i.e. Viktor Szulski, who comes to Warsaw in order to settle family matters. The protagonist uses his skills to discover the secrets of the city, as well as learn the secrets hidden by its inhabitants.

In The Thaumaturge PC Download, we see the action in isometric view. During the fun, we travel through Warsaw from the time of the partitions and perform various tasks, having conversations with the characters and making ambiguous moral decisions. During the adventure, we can use the power of salutes, which is useful in many situations; from exploration, through manipulating characters and performing tasks, ending with the fight against opponents.
