Stray Souls is an action adventure game with a survival horror feel – inspired by iconic horror works and enhanced by a soundtrack composed by Peter Wicher (Visage) and Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill, The Medium). The title is the debut of Jukai, an independent Polish studio founded in 2022.

The story follows the life of Daniel an indistinguishable teenager who, on his eighteenth birthday, learns of his grandmother’s inheritance, making him the heir to the estate in Aspen Falls.

What he initially takes to be an excellent omen will soon turn out to be a real nightmare. In time, Daniel will see firsthand that the city is cursed, and his presence in it long ago planned a mysterious sect. In Stray Souls PC Download, we observe the action from a third-person perspective, and the fun model is largely based on exploring the sleepy town of Aspen Falls and its surroundings. Our main task is to learn about Daniel’s past, we will also shape the character of the protagonist by making key decisions for him.

During the adventure, we will visit various locations, look at numerous objects and look for ways to use them. In Stray Souls, there is no shortage of logic puzzles that require manipulating objects. An important aspect of the work of Jukai Studio is also a fight – in the neighborhood of Aspen Falls we will encounter bloodthirsty creatures from the worst nightmares. Daniel will be forced to face creatures resembling the undead, multi-armed creatures or huge beasts. Although the main character is not vulnerable to them and can eliminate opponents m.in. using firearms, sometimes the best option is to avoid the attention of enemies. Next to some of them we will be able to cross, but in some cases the only way out will be to escape. The limited amount of resources means that we have to approach each clash in a strategic way.

Many elements of the game are random in nature, making Stray Souls a slightly different experience each time. The creators took care not only about the different locations of objects or monsters, but also changing weather conditions and supernatural events occurring at unexpected moments.
