Space Engineers this is the second project authorship, founded in 2010 at the Studio Keen Software House, the creators of arcade shooter Miner Wars 2081. Another name of the Czech development team is a racial sandbox Embedded in space, using similar technologies, but developing it with a couple of new motives. Space engineers were available in the early stages of production and were regularly developed with new elements. Because of this, not all of the features below may be available in the current version of the game.

Action Space Engineers takes place in the future, but the authors of the game were based on modern achievements of NASA and did not create anything that could not occur in the next 60 years. In the game you play as an engineer, and we are engaged in the development of space stations, construction of buildings and ships, as well as use the accumulated resources and units. We do all this with a few tools and a relatively easy – to use interface.

As well as the fact that Space Engineers is a representative of the sandbox genre, the player gets, respectively, more freedom in action. This means that we ourselves are building the stations, ships and machines necessary for the extraction of ore. Each of the ships must receive a power generator, directional engines and cockpit. Each of them we can manage independently. The game offers a lot of opportunities – you can build it as a simple fighter, as well as a giant ship.

Game Mechanic

The main mode of the game in the final version of Space Engineers is “survival” – resources are limited, so the player must extract ore from raw materials and cope with threats. The game allows you to play a few people, which gives a lot of opportunities. Space engineers can cooperate with each other in the construction of the station or compete and create combat vehicles. Manufacturing provides a full spectrum of entertainment – from peace-building before and after the spectacular battle in space.

The title was developed on the right engine by VRAGE 2.0 protein. Although the visual design looks really decent, the greatest achievement of the Czechs is a realistic, advanced engine responsible for physics, with which you can disassemble, modify, damage and even destroy individual objects. The technology is so advanced that it allows you to at least drill a hole through the asteroid.
