Path of Exile 2 is essentially an extensive update to Path of Exile, a 2013 online action RPG inspired by the Diablo series. The developer of the title is the New Zealand studio Grinding Gear Games, which from the very beginning is engaged in the production and development of PoE. Path of Exile 2 was announced in November 2019 at ExileCon 2019.
