Pioner is the debut game of the independent Russian studio GFA Games. The title is a first-person shooter MMO modeled, among other things, on the series S. T. A. L. K. E. R. in the game, we play a former Special Forces soldier trapped on an island filled with mutants.

The action takes place on an island belonging to the Soviet Union. As a result of a technological catastrophe, civilization plunges into chaos. A mysterious anomaly separates the island from the outside world. The protagonist is a former soldier whose comrades disappeared during the disaster. His mission is to find and rescue them and uncover the secrets of the enigmatic research station MOGILNIK.

By completing commissioned quests, we increase our character level, known here as influences. In this way, we unlock better equipment from merchants and new, more difficult, but more lucrative tasks. During the game you will come across four factions, each of which has separate lines of quests. Depending on the group we support, we will see a different ending.

As we explore the world, we may encounter wild animals, hostile humans, or aggressive mutants. The game includes a daily cycle that affects the behavior of opponents. During the day, weaker, less dangerous adversaries graze on the map. When night falls, the so-called LESHIY come out for food, that is, the strongest enemies in the whole game. It is therefore important to take into account the passage of time during our expeditions. The title also has an extensive weapon modification system. We can attach various barrels, flasks and sights to the weapon, thus adapting the weapon to our style of gameplay.
