In Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, we first board a ship carrying a mecha capable of carrying nuclear missiles, and later we appear on an oil rig. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater takes us to the Soviet Union, where as Naked Snake, we fight for survival in the jungle, trying to prevent the communists from tipping the scales of victory in the Cold War on their side.
