Le Mans Ultimate is a car simulator that recreates the 2023 season of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) – the endurance racing championship organized by the Fédération Internationale de l’automobile (FIA). Motorsport Games initiated its creation and handed over production to its own experienced Studio 397, which became famous for the game rFactor 2.

The developer has transferred to Le Mans Ultimate much of the experience gained in the development of rFactor 2. Thanks to this, the project is characterized by advanced car physics and realistic races, taking into account all the rules prevailing on the track or changing weather conditions. Nevertheless, assists are provided, thanks to which amateurs without steering wheels should not bounce off the game either.

Contrary to the title, the game recreates not only the famous 24-hour struggle on the French Circuit de la Sarthe. We also take part in other rounds of the WEC championship, held on tracks such as Spa-Francorchamps, Monza, Bahrain, Sebring, Portimao and Fuji.

We sit behind the wheel of cars of various classes, such as Hypercar, LMP2 and GTE. The main course is the first one, including cars from brands such as Porsche, Ferrari, Peugeot and Toyota, which in 2023 were just beginning their racing careers. In the lower categories there are also machines from manufacturers such as Aston Martin and Chevrolet.

In Le Mans Ultimate, you can compete against both artificial intelligence and other players over the network. The creators also foresaw asynchronous long-distance cooperative racing, in which several drivers from the team change in one car, passing their parts of the race at a convenient time for them. Le Mans Ultimate is based largely on the content that Studio 397 made available earlier in rFactor 2 – but it has been refreshed graphically.
