Last Train Home is a real-time strategy game (RTS) that puts a lot of emphasis on the survival element. The production was developed by the Czech studio Ashborne Games-co-creators of the 2021 shooter Comanche – and its release was handled by THQ Nordic.

Last Train Home PC Download takes us into the realities of the Russian civil war – an armed conflict that took place in the years 1917-1922, in which the armies of the Reds and whites fought for power in the country. The player directs the actions of the soldiers of the Czechoslovak Legion – a real military formation formed during World War I from prisoners and deserters of Czech and Slovak nationality, who previously belonged to the austro – Hungarian army.

This unit was trapped on the wrong side of the conflict. Our task is to help him return to his homeland by the eponymous last train. The armored Depot serves the soldiers both as a means of transportation through the wild, bleak, hostile lands of Siberia – giving them only scant protection from the all – encompassing cold-and as a weapon to fight the two armies tearing the country apart.

To evacuate from Russia, however, it takes many stops-once we run out of food or medicine, and at other times the train will fail and it will be necessary to find a way to fix it. The game offers a dozen challenging missions in which – independently choosing tactics-we need to realize a number of predetermined goals.

The title train acts as a kind of starting point. Between missions, we can repair and modify it, assigning soldiers to specific tasks – for example, caring for the wounded – whose performance is to ensure the best possible living conditions. Here we also improve our squad – soldiers can be decorated, and by participating in training, they gain new skills – and equip it with better equipment, acquired during the mission. Since the Last Train Home PC Download is based on real events, the developers have made every effort to make it consistent with historical facts. For example: among our soldiers there are women, because in fact they took part in the fighting, although officially the Czechoslovak Legion did not allow it.
