The protagonist of the series, created by the co-author of the cycle of Resident Evil, Shinji Mikami, is a young man named Dante, who wants revenge on the demons for the death of his mother. Due to its unusual abilities, such as the possibility of transformation into a demon, Dante becomes a tool to eliminate various ointments sewage, which, under the control of the Land. In this fourth part of the game we also learn a new hero, Nero, a member of the elite Order of the Holy Knights. Being a witness of the massacre, produced by Dante to his brother, he decides to kill the murderer. As in the previous parts of the cycle, in Devil May Cry 4 we are dealing with a dynamic third slasher, where our main goal is to explore the world, solve puzzles and fight hordes of demons. During the game we use different types of swords and firearms, including magic. Depending on the controlled hero, we also use a variety of special abilities, such as the devil’s shoulder, which can lift any weight and defeat any enemy. The key to success is the use of extensive attack sequences that deal the next opponents as much damage as possible. The game also uses a simple system of development of the hero, thanks to which in the game we can acquire new items and skills.

Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition boasts an improved graphic design in 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second. The developers did not limit themselves, however, to fine and minor technical fixes affecting the pace and improve the balance of the game. In game emerges for three new playable characters – Virgil, trish and Lady – in which we can incarnate alternately during mission Nero and Dante. The game also implemented previously unavailable on consoles mode Legendary Dark Knight, reserved for the most experienced players. Everything complements, and a set of additional costumes and skins for our characters.
