The Lord of the Rings Gollum Download takes place between the events described in the Hobbit and the book trilogy The Lord of the rings by J. R. R. Tolkien. In the game, we learn the story of Smeagol – better known as Gollum – after meeting with Bilbo Baggins. Looking for the thief who stole his treasure, Smeagol wandered all the way to Mordor. There, however, he was captured by the servants of the dark lord. Now Gollum must try to escape his captors.

The creators of the game tried to stick to the book canon, so the story told can end only in one way. Nevertheless, the writers had much more freedom in creating his adventures on the way to the place where fate connected him with the confidant of the ring.
