Remake originally released in 2005 adventure action game, implemented in the convention of survival horror. For its creation are responsible for the creators of the original from the Russian studio Ice-Pick Lodge, known m.in. from such titles as Tension, Cargo! Quest for Gravity and Knock-Knock. Thanks to the support of users of the social financing platform Kickstarter, the creators decided to recreate their hit from years ago, realizing it in accordance with the original vision, previously impossible to realize due to technical and financial limitations.

Pathologic 2 PC Download takes you to the Town on the Gorkhon River, lost among the steppes. We play Artem Burakh, a young surgeon whose father, the chief doctor of the town, in a mysterious letter asks for a quick return home, sensing the impending disaster. As soon as he gets off the train, Artemi is attacked by three assailants; it turns out that his father was murdered, and the streets are full of revenge-hungry residents, eager for self-Justice.

A young surgeon must convince the townspeople of his innocence, solve the mystery of his father’s death, and decide if he wants to continue his legacy – while the townspeople begin to die as a result of a mysterious plague… The plague spreads rapidly, making the air itself toxic. According to estimates, we have only 12 days to stop the plague and solve the mystery.

The action is presented from a first-person perspective, and during the game we can freely explore the area of the whole city and the surrounding area, searching the nooks and crannies in search of the necessary items, talking with encountered independent characters, and sometimes also fighting.

Pathologic 2 PC Download has a dark, dense, depressing atmosphere, and during the exploration of the town we witness bizarre scenes, often resisting unambiguous interpretation. Unlike the original, this time the creators used the latest generation of the Popular Unity engine, which obviously affected the graphics of the game. There was also a lot of emphasis on new tasks and storylines, better balance of gameplay and a lot of improvements in mechanics and interface, such as adding the ability to run. The authors also took care of the appropriate level of English translation, which was one of the biggest pains of the original – it is so important that the game contains a huge amount of dialogue, often full of understatements, metaphors and philosophical reflections.
