Mortal Shell is the debut studio project of Cold Symmetry. It is a production of soulslike, an action RPG in the style of The Dark Souls series. The title began life in 2018 under the name Dungeonhaven as a project of three developers who worked m.in. on the series Call of Duty and Ghost of Tsushima.

Mortal Shell is set in the fantasy universe. However, it is not a colourful Land of elves or dwarves, but a dark world full of horror, in which only ruins and fragile memories remain after human civilization. The mysterious entity known as The Dark father does not like this. He is the one who orders the main character – an empty vessel without form – to go on a quest to find the lost shrines of the faithful, where he will have to overcome enormous challenges.
Mortal Shell uses the classic Soulslike production scheme. The action is being watched from a third-person perspective (TPP). The fight is highly skillful, but there is no chaotic push of buttons or joyful waving of a sword (or other weapon) like in typical slashers. Every enemy is a threat to us, and we are often forced to face several adversaries at once. Efficient fingers and quick reflexes are not enough to emerge from these clashes victorious. It is also necessary to lead the fight thoughtfully and to be sensible so that a hastily delivered blow is not our last.
What sets Mortal Shell PC Download apart from other productions is its unusual character development system. The character does not have a corporeal shell, instead taking control of the remains of the deceased warriors. Each of them, during their lifetime, distinguished themselves by their abilities and specialization, which we can use once their bodies have been taken over. As the hero deepens his understanding of the shell, further skills and improvements are unlocked, making him even more dangerous in battle. At our disposal we receive both a substantial arsenal of weapons as well as a large number of offensive spells.
