Life is Strange, released on the PC platform is an episodic adventure created by the French Studio DONTNOD Entertainment. The developer is well known, published in 2013 arcade – adventure game Remember Me, which was met with mixed reviews of players. Life is Strange was created in cooperation with Square Enix.

The plot of Life is Strange takes us to the fictional American town of Arcadia Bay in Oregon. After 5 years comes to him, Max Caulfield, an incoming Mature protagonist of the game, who returned to his native place to start training at Blackwell Academy, a prestigious high school for photography enthusiasts. On place he meets again with his longtime girlfriend Chloe Price. With her trying to unravel the mystery of the mysterious disappearance of another student Blackwell – Rachel amber. Already at the very beginning of the adventure, Max discovers that he has the ability to manipulate time, that this is only the beginning of strange, inexplicable events and seems to be somehow connected with the attackers on his vision of a giant tornado striking the city.

Life is Strange is one of the first releases that tries to copy and use the proven and very popular formula of adventure games by Telltale Studio, such as The Walking Dead or The Wolf Among Us. This means that the key role in the game is completely the plot, and the unfolding of the story were subordinated to other elements of the gameplay, such as free exploration or interaction with the NTC. Just like in the Telltale collection, players have to decide how protagonistka will react to what is happening to her, and the decisions made in the key moments of the adventure have a significant impact on her further progress. An interesting element that distinguishes Life is Strange from the competition is that the main character has the power that allows her to move through time. This allows you to test different event scenarios without having to go through each episode multiple times, and is often also a key mechanic in solving puzzles.
