Vive la France! it is the third official DLC add-on for the 2012 PC game Euro Truck Simulator 2 by SCS Software. The production of the Czech developer, who has been developing similar games since 2002 and the memorable Hard Truck: 18 Wheels of Steel, has become a kind of phenomenon in its genre, enjoying unfailing popularity even many years after its premiere and the release of subsequent series such as American Truck Simulator.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 Vive la France Download it does not make any changes to the gameplay mechanics, as per the title, focusing in particular on a significant expansion of the French territory – which, although already available in the basic game, we could only see a modest cut of it behind the wheel of our truck. This time, the game’s authors decided to correct their mistake and focused on increasing the map’s detail and making the entire area of this beautiful country available to players.

This brought 20 new cities into the game, including such well-known destinations as Marseille and Toulouse, but also much smaller commercial and economic centres. However, this is not the end, as the existing areas of France (e.g. Paris) in the game have been extensively rebuilt to match the level of detail of the new areas in the DLC. The new addition, of course, also includes tens of thousands of kilometres of new routes, Hundreds of roundabouts and elements such as toll points and release thresholds.

Technically released on PC, the supplement Vive la France! it is no different from the parent game created four years earlier. However, the developers from the SCS Software studio tried to reflect the specificity of the region and to recreate as faithfully as possible both the climate of large French metropolises (with all their characteristic places) and the charms of small, picturesque villages. The developers also focused on improving the vegetation so that we can admire new species of trees and shrubs and a more realistic look of those that have already appeared in the game.
