Dune Imperium is a turn-based strategy game, enriched with elements taken from board and card games. The production, developed by Dire Wolf studio, is an adaptation of the board game released in Poland under the title Dune: Empire.

Dune Imperium PC Download takes us on a journey into the science fiction universe created by Frank Herbert for Dune and its sequel. The location takes us on a journey to the desert planet Arrakis. Since this sandy globe is the source of the most precious substance in the universe – melange – there is a constant struggle for control over it. In the course of the game, we find ourselves in the middle of a conflict and compete for influence with four factions: the mysterious Bene Gesserit, the space Guild, the indigenous inhabitants of this planet Fremen or finally the Emperor himself.

The gameplay in Dune: Empire is based on the scheme known from the original board game. Each of the ten rounds in which the game takes place defines a new conflict on the surface of Arrakis. While some skirmishes can be a source of valuable resources, others provide victory points necessary to dominate other players.

Interestingly, individual cards can be played in two ways: using them immediately and sending agents to collect resources, or revealing them only at the end of the round, thus gaining the opportunity to purchase new cards. In addition, with the expansion of our deck, individual cards become stronger. The graphics of Dune: Empire consist primarily of interface elements and two-dimensional illustrations presenting specific places and characters. The authors of the latter drew on both Frank Herbert’s novel and the 2021 film Dune.
