Desperados III is another installment of the popular series of tactical strategies inspired by the Commandos series. This time the game was not developed by the previous spellbound studio. They were replaced by German band Mimimi Productions. This team, however, was not chosen by accident, as it had previously produced the similarly conceived and warmly received game Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun.

Desperados 3 PC Download – Review:

The game is a prequel to the series, although the authors themselves do not shy away from the word reboot either. The main character of Desperados III is John Cooper, a gunfighter known from previous episodes of the series. It involves the command of a band of outlawed specialists with whom he undertakes the most dangerous missions ordered in the Wild West.

Desperados III remains true to the basic principles governing previous installments, especially part one. So we get a real-time tactical strategy in which we command a five-man squad of specialists performing tasks on relatively small maps. Enemies are almost always heavily outnumbered, so success requires a stealth approach and a considerable amount of cunning. When left undetected, opponents patrol the maps, and avoiding detection is facilitated by an interface that shows the guards ‘ sight range.

Each squad member has a different specialization and unique equipment and skills. The available characters are Cooper (a gunslinger who can fire two weapons at the same time), McCoy (he acts as a doctor and sniper on the team), Hector (he is a hunter with great strength and can trap enemies), Kate (he can put on disguises and distract opponents) and Isabelle (she is a voodoo priestess and one of her powers is mind control).
